Kent Commemorative Benches is a family run business headed up by Steve Major.
By importing direct from Indonesia and by keeping administration overheads to a minimum we are able to offer solid teak garden furniture of high quality but at very affordable prices. However, lower prices do not mean that quality has been compromised - every piece is individually inspected before being sold.
Many people are justifiably cautious about buying tropical hardwoods because of indiscriminate logging of the rain forests. Indonesia practices a policy of sustainable forestry and "Kent Garden Furniture" are satisfied that the teak they offer comes only from commercial plantations which are replanted.
Naturally rich in oleoresin, teak is highly resistant to warping and rotting and will last for many years without any special treatment. However, after time, teak can show hairline cracks, especially in end grains. These are quite natural and do not detract from the wood’s strength or durability.
